This beautiful bamboo grove, part of a larger bamboo forest,
is in Kyoto, on the North-Western outskirts of the city.
Bamboo in Japan gets quite huge, up to 20cm in diameter,
and up to 15 meters high. A forest of it is quite spectacular.
In the Spring people go out looking for the new shoots,
considered a culinary delicacy.
