Yutoku shrine, one of the largest and most beautiful
Shinto shrines in Saga, is also famous for its hillside
of azaleas. Situated on one side of a steep valley,
the slope opposite the shrine is covered with azalea
bushes, in many shades of pink, purple, red and white.
They make a beautiful show in late April ans early May.

The flowers and the weather are enviable - it is freezing here and the images keep me waiting for better times - thanks Eileen
